Prof. Dr. Frank Kalter
Prof. Dr. Frank Kalter is Professor for Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Mannheim, Founding Director of the German Center for Integration and Migration Research, and Project Director at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). His research focus lies in the causes of migration and in the processes of intergenerational integration. Furthermore he is interested in models of social processes and quantitative methods. Kalter is Principal Investigator (PI) of the study “Children of Immigrants Longitudinal Survey in Four European Countries (CILS4EU)". From 2014 to 2017 he was Director at the MZES and from 2011 to 2015 President of the European Academy of Sociology.
