E-mail: assad(at)dezim-institut.de Curriculum vitaeCaroline Assad is an educational scientist (B.A. & M.A. Freie Universität Berlin) and completed the part-time Executive Master of Public Administration program at the Hertie School. After her studies, Caroline Assad evaluated and scientifically accompanied local and international educational and cultural programs, among others for UNICEF Oman, UNICEF Sudan, the House of World Cultures in Berlin and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She also designed and implemented educational programs in Berlin schools characterized by high heterogeneity and multilingualism as part of her work at CamP Group gGmbH. Caroline Assad was executive director for 3.5 years and is now an honorary advisory board member of the civil society organization WIR MACHEN DAS, which works at the intersection of culture, literature, and the discourse of migration. She was a Fellow of the Young DGAP, where she addressed challenges in foreign cultural and educational policy, among other topics. She was also a Fellow at More in Common Germany, assisting the team in analyzing its data from two representative studies on attitudes in Germany toward the immigration society.
In the project Diversity of Funding and Cooperation Structures of Foreign Cultural & Educational Policy, she designed and moderated the event series Foreign Cultural and Educational Policy under Pressure, which was held from October to November 2022 in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut and the Open Society Foundations (OSF).
