Liam Haller has been a researcher at the DeZIM institute since September 2021. His current research interests include the application and development of quantitative methods to model migration trajectories and (im)mobility at scale. He initially joined the institute as a Fulbright research fellow, where he conducted interviews with Syrian and Iraqi forced migrants to assess how migration trajectories and aspirations affect citizenship acquisition. Previously, he conducted research in probability theory and worked as a software engineer in Chicago. Liam received a B.A. in mathematics at Northwestern University and certificate in financial economics from Kellogg Business School.
