Olga Böhm is responsible for research networking and management of the DeZIM research community. Previously, she was a strategy officer in the Internationalization Office at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. There she was responsible for the coordination of the central European research and teaching network CENTRAL. In addition to the Leibniz Association, her other professional experience includes the Philipps University of Marburg, where she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Sociology.

In her dissertation, she focused on the construction and use of the term "persons with a migration background" in the political and life-world field, as well as the question of what effects the term develops on the notion of belonging of those designated by it.

Olga Böhm studied sociology, psychology and political science at the Philipps University of Marburg as well as at the Université de Genève and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
