The 6th DeZIM Conference for early-career researchers of the DeZIM Research Community

The conference provided a unique platform for networking and exchange on interdisciplinary topics in the field of migration and integration research for over 30 early-career researchers from the DeZIM Research Community and the DeZIM Institute.
The interactive program of the conference included six panel discussions and working groups with over 20 internal and external representatives of migration and integration research. Additionally, two poster sessions took place where a total of 22 research projects by participants were presented and discussed.
The thematic focus of the conference included ethical data collection, involvement of research participants, power dynamics in research, data availability, knowledge transfer, publication strategies, and career paths after completing a doctorate.
The event provided valuable insights and discussions on overarching methodological, practical, and substantive questions, allowing for an in-depth exploration of the challenges in migration and integration research.
We would like to thank all participants and speakers for a successful and enlightening conference and look forward to further events that promote exchange and collaboration within the DeZIM Research Community.
