Critical Diversity Research on Discrimination in Organizations
Consensus and Conflict Department
Project head: Dr. Annett Gräfe-Geusch
Diversity-oriented organizational development is increasingly becoming a part of organizational efforts across various sectors in Germany. In this context, empirical foundations are gaining importance, with so-called diversity studies serving the purpose of data collection. However, universally valid and widely recognized standards for such data collection efforts are still lacking. Furthermore, it remains unclear how such studies can be designed in a way that is critically aware of discrimination.
Additionally, it is evident that the framework conditions influencing diversity-oriented organizational development vary significantly between sectors (organizational fields). Based on a multi-method and comparative approach, this project explores how diversity-oriented and discrimination-critical organizational development can be theoretically and empirically grounded and implemented in the German context.
