Project head: Prof. Dr. Magdalena Nowicka

Project team members: Dr. Marcus Engler

Running time April 2023 until November 2023
Status Completed project

The purpose of the project is to map different countries' responses to, and experiences with, the increased refugee arrivals in Europe in 2015-2016 and in 2022-2023, and to compare the authorities' response along several immigration and integration dimensions. Different countries’ – Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Poland and the UK - responses can together provide a wide range of experiences, adjustments, regulations, measures, cooperations and public arrangements which can provide public actors with new knowledge and solutions. The project should result in learning outcomes for public actors in the field of immigration and integration in Norway. The DeZIM-team is responsible for the country report for Germany.
