DeZIM-Tagung 2022

Vom 5. bis 7. Oktober 2022 führt das Deutsche Zentrum für Integrations- und Migrationsforschung (DeZIM) zum ersten Mal die DeZIM-Tagung durch. Gastgeber der Tagung ist das Berliner Institut für empirische Integrations- und Migrationsforschung (BIM) an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Wissenschaftler*innen verschiedener Disziplinen der DeZIM-Forschungsgemeinschaft und des DeZIM-Instituts sowie anderer Forschungseinrichtungen, die zu Integration und Migration, Konsens und Konflikt, gesellschaftlicher Teilhabe und Rassismus forschen, beteiligen sich mit theoretischen, empirischen oder methodischen Beiträgen.

Bei der Tagung bieten wir – neben einer Keynote, einer Abendveranstaltung und einem Nachwuchstreffen – fünf Arbeitsgruppen an, die den Teilnehmenden eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit ermöglichen. Sie greifen aktuelle Forschungsthemen des DeZIM-Instituts und der DeZIM-Forschungsgemeinschaft auf:

• Arbeitsgruppe 1: Postmigrantische Demokratie
• Arbeitsgruppe 2: Migration und transnationale Mobilität
• Arbeitsgruppe 3: Multiple Lebensformen, soziale Ungleichheiten und gesellschaftliche Teilhabe: Intersektionale Perspektiven
• Arbeitsgruppe 4: Konflikte, Aushandlungen und Diskriminierung
• Arbeitsgruppe 5: (Re)Produktion kolonialer Diskursivität innerhalb der Migrationsgesellschaft

Wir bitten alle Teilnehmenden, sich am 6. Oktober zwischen 09:30 und 10:15 Uhr in der UNI3 (ISW) anzumelden. Nur ausgewählte Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen mit einer Teilnahmebestätigung können am Nachwuchs­ treffen am 5. Oktober teilnehmen.

On 5 and 7 October 2022, DeZIM will bring together researchers and scholars who are involved in integration and migration research in Germany. The 2022 DeZIM Conference will be hosted by the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

Academics from the DeZIM Research Community, DeZIM Institute, and other institutions who conduct research on integration and migration are encouraged to apply. We look forward to hosting excellent papers and panels across the research fields of integration and migration including interesting theoretical, methodological, and empirical aspects.

In addition to a keynote, an evening event and the early careers conference, we offer five working groups that enable long-term cooperation for all participants. These working groups include current research topics of the DeZIM Institute and the DeZIM Research Community:

• Working Group 1: “Post-Migrant Democracy”
• Working Group 2: “Migration and Transnational Mobility”
• Working Group 3: “Multiple Lifestyles, Social Inequalities, and Participation: Intersectional Perspectives”
• Working Group 4: “Conflicts, Negotiation, and Exclusion”
• Working Group 5: “(Re)Production of Colonial Discourses within Migrant Societies”

We kindly ask all participants to register at the UNI3 (ISW) on October 6th between 09:30 and 10:15. Only selected researchers with a confirmation of participation can take part in the Early Careers Conference on October 5th
