Prof. Dr. Andreas Blätte is a political scientist. He has been Professor of Public Policy and State Policy at the University of Duisburg-Essen since 2015. In 2018/19, he was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DeZIM.
He focuses on the politics of the immigration society and his research interests include cross-cutting policy areas. His empirical work is dedicated to comparative federal state policy research as well as political control and governance in the multi-level system. Methodologically, he pursues the goal of developing analytical tools to be able to use text data in migration and integration research.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Blätte represents the Interdisciplinary Centre for Integration and Migration Research (InZentIM) at the University of Duisburg-Essen in the DeZIM research community. He has been spokesperson for the DeZIM research community since February 2020.
