Hande Şefkat Savuş

Hande Şefkat Savuş is a cultural studies scholar with an interdisciplinary focus. Since June 2025, she has been a research associate at the National Discrimination and Racism Monitor (NaDiRa) at the DeZIM Institute. Her work there examines the intersections of racism and gender, including in the context of femonationalist and ethnonationalist discourses. Previously, from April 2024 to September 2026, she worked as a science communication officer at NaDiRa. She holds an M.A. in Cultural Studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. In her academic work, she combines approaches from political and aesthetic theory, feminist and postcolonial theory, and racism studies with empirical qualitative approaches. Methodologically, she works primarily with qualitative discourse and media analysis as well as qualitative interviews.
