Dr. Laura Suárez-Grimalt is Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Communication Sciences at the Universidade da Coruña (Spain). She holds an MA in Applied Social Research Techniques (UAB–UDC), an MA in International Migration (UDC) and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Barcelona (2019), funded by a competitive FPU predoctoral fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Education. She is a member of the Societies on the Move Research Group (ESOMI) and has participated in several research projects funded under Spain’s National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Innovation (FEM2011-26210; SEJ2007-63179), as well as European projects (INCASI H2020-691004-MSCA-RISE; CAREWELL JPI MYBL EWG). She is currently part of the research team of the project “Intersecting crises post-2020 and impact on intra-EU (im)mobilities (CrisisNewEUmob)” and “Long-term care, markets and inequalities: brokering agencies, digital platforms and worker cooperatives (CAREMARKETS)”, both funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
