Dr. Hans Lueders

Dr. Hans Lueders holds a PhD in Political Science from Stanford University and is currently a Hoover Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford. His research investigates the political and social consequences of migration in the United States and Western Europe. His current book project examines how domestic migration transforms electoral politics and civic engagement in rich democracies. In related work, Hans studies immigration to the United States, focusing on how local immigration policies influence the lives of immigrants, as well as on American public opinion on topics such as immigration, immigrant integration, and deportation. Hans’s research has been published, among others, in the American Political Science Review, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, World Politics, the Journal of Politics, and Comparative Political Studies.
