Islem Knani

Islem Knani has been working as Assistant to the Scientific Director and Team Assistant in the Executive Staff since November 2023.

She completed a Franco-German dual degree in Political Science at Leuphana University Lüneburg and Université Paris-Est Créteil, with a focus on law and international relations.

Previously, she worked in the Visitors’ Service of the German Bundestag and at the German-Tunisian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, where she contributed to a GIZ multi-stakeholder partnership promoting social dialogue in Tunisia.

She also possesses extensive experience as a language and cultural mediator for Arabic- and French-speaking refugees, in addition to her involvement in community-based projects and democratic participation processes.
