Mirna El Masri is a political scientist and works as a research associate at the Research Data Centre (FDZ) of DeZIM. She specialises in the provision and documentation of quantitative survey data. Her particular focus is on working with metadata, which she structures and prepares using documentation software in accordance with DDI standards. She also develops and coordinates access to sensitive research data.

Previously, she worked at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) on the project 'Monitoring System and Transfer Platform Radicalisation' (MOTRA). There, she conducted research on the empirical measurement of radicalisation trends in Germany, particularly in the context of international conflicts.
