Stakeholder access and evaluation of anti-discrimination counseling

National Monitoring of Discrimination and Racism (NaDiRa)

Project head: Dr. Tanita Jill Pöggel

Running time June 2023 until May 2024
Status Completed project

The research project "Stakeholder access and evaluation of anti-discrimination counseling" pursues the following goals:

First, the general knowledge of the population in Germany about anti-discrimination and existing counseling services is to be investigated, since rights and obligations in cases of discrimination can only be effective if they are known.

Secondly, the perspectives of those affected by discrimination will be brought into focus, as only with a sound knowledge of the actual needs can appropriate and needs-based measures be taken to establish nationwide anti-discrimination counseling. For this purpose, a multi-method approach comprising quantitative as well as qualitative data collection procedures will be used to evaluate how knowledge about, access to and use of AD counseling services can be improved.

Third, based on the results of the research project, recommendations for action will be developed that can contribute to strengthening anti-discrimination in Germany.
