At DeZIM in Berlin, he is responsible, among other things, for various surveys, for example the "DeZIM.panel", a quarterly online survey with a large population of people with a migration history in the panel. Besides the topic of intercultural surveys, his research focuses on social and ethnic inequalities, especially in education, and the impact of institutional conditions on educational success. Furthermore, he is also interested in processes of (second) language acquisition.
