Dr. Seyran Bostancı works as a research assistant in the National Discrimination and Racism Monitor (NaDiRa)at the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM). At NaDiRa, she is responsible for the area education and racism. She has published a paper entitled: "Education - Discrimination - Inclusion. Transformation Processes in Postmigrant Societies" at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

Previously, she was a research assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences at the Department of Diversity and Social Conflict, Humboldt University of Berlin. She was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Currently, she is conducting research on "Institutional Racism in Kitas" (sub-study of the Racism Monitor at DeZIM). In addition, Dr. Seyran Bostancı has been a practice consultant and coach for diversity and inclusion processes in (early childhood) educational institutions since 2010.

Her main areas of work in research and teaching include: Migration, educational inequality, diversity, racism, inclusion, early childhood and civil society.

In the National Discrimination and Racism Monitor (NaDiRa), she led the short study Racism in the Kita ( www.rassismusmonitor.de/kurzstudien/rassismus-in-der-kita/ ).
