He studied social sciences and philosophy at the University of Leipzig and sociology at Freie Universität Berlin. After graduation, he completed his doctorate at Humboldt University in Berlin.
Before joining DeZIM, Dr. Jannes Jacobsen worked at the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) and at the Institute of Sociology at Freie Universität Berlin.
